While the Living and Dining rooms of this Arts & Crafts home had beautiful millwork and detailing, the Kitchen was all utilitarian. Our client tasked us with developing an Arts & Crafts kitchen that belonged with the rest of the house.

A hidden appliance garage adds storage within a millwork piece that separates the bay window from the island.

Even the corbel holding the upper cabinets above the sink ties into the existing corbels under the roofline, just at a smaller scale.

Every square inch was utilized to keep the floor and counters clear of everyday items for a clean look.

Custom staining and glazing helps to create a patina on all new millwork so this huge island can fit right in with the rest of the home.

Since most homes did not have mudrooms back in the 1920's, we had to create an area within the kitchen to handle coats, shoes, gloves and miscellaneous.
